Deshpande Panchang
Deshpande Panchang is the 1st Soorya-Siddhanteeya panchang which got published in Maharastra and the only pure Soorya-Siddhanteeya panchang in India. Deshpande Panchang is created by Mr. Gaurav Deshpande from Pune, Maharashtra, India. Gaurav is a Software Engineer by profession but since childhood Gaurav had an acute interest in Vaidik Granthaas and astrology. Panchang means ‘Panch Ang’ (Sanskrit). Tithi, Waar, Nakshatra, Yog and Karan are the main 5 angas (elements) of it. While studying this, he realized that there are mainly two types of Panchang creation methods in Hindu tradition. One is ‘Soorya-siddhanteeya panchang’ –which is followed since ancient times and another is ‘Drik Panchang’- which has the history of not more than 50 to 60 years.

Gaurav Deshpande
Gaurav is a software engineer by profession and runs his own software company in Mumbai, working there as CEO. He has been passionate about astrology, astronomy and theology since childhood. Reviving the ancient Indian solar theory almanac system, which has been closed in Maharashtra for the last 60 years, he has been revising the ancient Indian almanac system by the name of ‘ DharmaShastra Sammat Deshpande Panchang’ for the last 9 years in Maharashtra.
The study of astrology, almanac, theology, triskandha astrology etc. and the guidance in this regard was given by Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid guruji from Varanasi. The awards “Jyotisharatna” and “Ganakpravar” were given by Kashi Dharmasabha in honor of presiding over the special Dharmasabha held in Kashi regarding the Angulalp lunar eclipse in 2013.
Received honors from many Hindu teachers and world gurus like Sringeri Shankaracharya, Jagannath Puri’s Shankaracharya. Thousands of lectures and discourses on Dharmashastra, Jyotish, Adhyatma, Mantrashastra, Ayurveda, Panchang etc. Prabodhan on Dharmashastra, Jyotish is constantly going on through newspapers, TV channels, internet etc. So far, more than 1 lakh Kundalis have been tested and the Kundali, Vastu Guidance is still running its own business in a scientific manner.
